Reflect

Solitude is the companion of self-reflection.

It's more productive and meaningful to spend an hour contemplating than doing things for the entire day without knowing why you do it.

Happy Ramadhan to all...

Solitude - both in the spiritual and physical sense - is a great antidote to what life presents us. It provides the balance and equilibrium that we should obtain, but few seek.

The Prophet (pbuh) was in solitude spiritually when he was awake at night to be with his Lord. In addition, he was in physical solitude when he was at Mt Hira' or at many other places performing the suluk - a spiritual element of his physical solitude.

To be alone. To be with Him - and only Him.

A similar case can be argued for Boulder. That is why when perished at the time of seeking knowledge, the reward is martyrdom. It's a perfect fit.

To be alone in the crowd...
