To my wife-to-be

I wanted to save this until after the nikkah ceremony, but what the heck. I don't normally listen to English music (meaning pop, rock, cock etc), my whole life I've been socialised to listen to Tamil Songs by Illaiaraaja and now, a lot of ARR and Yuvan. But I came across this song that I felt really captured the essence of what it means to be married. I don't particularly like the tune etc. But the lyrics are super.

I dedicate the song to my future wife-to-be (who goes under the guise of Yashila in the blogosphere).
Grow Old With You
(by Adam Sandler in the Wedding Singer)
I wanna make you smile
Whenever you're sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
Oh all I wanna do is grow old with you.
I'll get your medicines
When your tummy aches
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice growing old with you
I'll miss you, kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold
Need you, feed you
I'll even let you hold the remote control
So let me do the dishes on our kitchen sink
Put you to bed when you've had too much to drink
Oh I could be the man who grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you
I'll miss you, kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold
Need you, feed you
I'll even let you hold the remote control
Oh I could be the man who grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you...

:) That was very sweet...Insha Allah, Come what may, let us go through life's ups and downs hand in hand and may we never let go of each other.
